The Breckenridge Middle School/High School Media Center serves approximately 400 students in grades 6-12 and 25 teachers.  The media center is open from 7:30 a.m. to at least 3:30 p.m. during the school day.

Our media center prides itself on being clean, professional and comfortable.  In addition to having a large selection of reference materials and nonfiction books, there are current issues of The Morning Sun.  We also have an excellent assortment of current and popular fiction. Chromebooks are for your use during school hours and are expected to be put away and plugged in at the end of each school day. Students must return the Chromebook to the assigned charging/docking station within five minutes of the last bell. If you fail to plug your Chromebook into the appropriate charging/docking station at the end of the school day, forget to bring it to class, forget to return to school with it after having checked it out, or do not have it ready for learning, the following ladder of disciplinary action will result:

1st violation: a verbal warning from a Chromebook supervisor

2nd violation: reading of Chromebook Discipline Policy

3rd violation: RTC process and lunch detention served in RTC room

4th violation (+), RTC process, and each time after that: 2 days lunch detention

*Students caught working on a Chromebook within a personal Gmail or another non-school-issued account are choosing the RTC process and will receive 2 days of lunch detention. Unless expressly permitted by a staff member for a specific educational, social, and emotional purpose.
